A Detective for Halloween

This Halloween, I tried something different. I went as a detective! Detectives are scarybecause they solve mysteries. My dad thought it was a good idea for me to take our catScooter along, because every good detective has a(n) cat, he said.

Things went along smoothly until Scooter saw our neighbor's horse and chased it up a(n)house. I almost dropped my candy, but luckily, Scooter doesn't ran very quiet.

We then went to carlos's house to meet him and his little sister. I hate Trick or Treating with little sisters. They are no fun! But carlos's dad said we had to take her along.

Well, it was a good thing I was a detective, because carlos's little sister ran away from us and we were really scared that she was lost. Luckily, Scooter sniffed her out and brought her back to us. She had only gone across the street to see her friends. I'm such a(n) gooddetective!

Road Trip!

One day my Uncle henri and my Aunt starr said they would take me and my sister allisonon a trip to massachusets.

“You will love massachusets,” said Aunt starr. “It is famous for its wild bears, its redflowers, and its beautiful lovely hills.”

“I hope you packed plenty of fruits for the ride,” said Uncle henri. “It will probably take us 16 hours.”

So we all piled into Uncle henri and Aunt starr's car. At first the trip was really boring . We sang “22 Bottles of water on the Wall.” Then we counted the trip that we saw animalsin the fields by the side of the road. But after 6 hours we had eaten all the fruits andallison was getting hungry.

“Are we almost there?” she asked walked.

“Yes, sweety,” said Aunt starr.

Just then I saw a sign that said, “new york city: 2 miles.”

“Umm, Uncle henri, is new york city on the way to massachusets?” I asked.

“Yeah,” said allison, pointing, “and is mount everest on the way to massachusets?”

“WOW , kids,” laughed Uncle henri. “You can trust the expert.”

“One thing's for sure,” I muttered. “I don't think we're in ny any more.”

The Haunted Tower

One afternoon raul and kylee were walking down a(n) scary trail, looking for kindling for their campfire. The trees were brown and green, and there were colorful wildflowers all around. raul and kylee began to pick the wildflowers, and after a while, they walked so far that they had wandered away from the trail.

It started to get dark. raul began to get worried, but kylee seemed excited to have an adventure. “Look!” kylee said. “Do you see that shadow? It looks like a house!”

“We're saved!” cried raul, who was relieved.

Once they got closer, raul felt very uneasy again. It didn't look like the cozy little cottageraul had been imagining, but rather a big, spooky tower! It was about 100 feet tall, and it was covered with red ivy and moss. It was the creepiest thing raul had ever seen!

raul said, “kylee, let's keep walking! There's no way I'm going into that tower! It looks haunted!”

“Don't be such a(n) idot! We're going in. I think it looks perfectly un-haunted!” said kylee.

raul was so scared that he could not open his eyes. He felt his arm chatter as kylee opened the door. All of a sudden, raul felt that he was not alone. He opened his eyes, prepared to see the worst. But instead, he saw all his friends and family inside the haunted tower! “Surprise! Happy birthday, raul!” they all screamed.

An Invitation

Please come to a surprise party for starr on january 21 2010.

Lots of great pizza and hamburgers will be served. Please come to the party hungry!

There will be games, such as fun races, and a contest to see who can run the fastest. We will play lots of songs, and there may even be some dancing .

The theme of the party will be black and white. During the party, everyone can make a hat decorated with black and white. Be sure to wear tight jeans to protect your legs.

Since this is a surprise party, please be sure to arrive at least 16 minutes early. Everyone will be hanging in the living room. When starr arrives, we will jump up and scream andyell, “happy birthday!”

Please don't talk about the party at school. It would be very upsetting if starr found out about her surprise party.

b) During the Techbrarian Distraction Test was there any type of music that distracted you? If so, explain why. Actually, the song that distracted me was the hip-hop music because the song was so off it didn't go with the story.

No, bottled water is not cleaner and tastier then tap because bottled water is tap water but just put into a bottle and has some fancy name.

2) How is bottled water made? Where does it go after you throw the bottle away?
Bottled water is made by tap water and oil because bottled water is made with tap water. Well, the bottled water is made by tap water and when you throw it away they only recycle like 2% of the bottles.

3) What can you do to help solve the bottled water problem?
I Could Start brining my own bottle of water and stop buying bottle of water.

Well the reason I cant work today is because on my way home yesterday I saw a lion in front of Ms.188 so then I had to fight it off with book bag it went well and i defeated it. Then when i was in front of my building a dragon came out and started blowing fire at me I ran away from it then a big eagle picked me up and gave me a sword so then I cut off its head. Then when i got home my house was surrounded by water then a shark tied my family up so then i has to kill the shark by stabbing it in the stomach then i rescued them and after all of that i fell asleep so i deserve a break.

As I started on the bike I felt the wind blow my hair as i peddled faster and faster i felt great that i started riding a bike by myself so i kept on peddling but then i saw the garbage can i tried to stop but the breaks were broken so then i felt the crash and i ended up falling into the empty trash can.

This is my godfather. His name is Marc Texidor. He is so funny I am so glad that he agreed to be my godfather. At times I get so mad at him but at other times I just want to hang out with him. 1. How is fighting an enemy with predator drones different from fighting hand-to-hand combat? How is it similar?

1.Its different because hand to hand combat is like fist to fist but the problem about fighting the enemy with predator drones is that there is and easier chance of you blowing up.

2.No i think it is not fair because you get a big advantage of killing your enemy and when you win the fight you are going to think that wow i won a unfair fight i took advantage of my enemy.

A suicide bomb attack in a crowded market area in Afghanistan's Uruzgan province killed at least 16 people, local authorities and NATO officials said.

Those killed in Thursday's explosion in the town of Deh Rawood were all civilians, including women and children, The Washington Post reported. Several more people were wounded in the attack, one of the largest militant attacks on civilians in recent months.

The attack occurred at a weekly livestock and food bazaar area patronized by local residents.

Provincial Gov. Asadullah Hamdam told the Post the bomber had reached the area on foot but his target was not known.

NATO told the newspaper its forces sent to the scene along with investigators to help the victims found a "large amount" of opium there. No other details were available.
